When I shave my stubble i get spots/acne?

Im 16 and have been shaving for about a year but i have been getting spots around where i shave everytime i do is there a reason for this? Is it not actually the shaver am i just getting spots there naturally? By the way i do naturally get a couple spots but a lot more where i shave (under the chin and around my jaw line)
