Why does my dog likes to chew and eat metals?

My dog likes to eat anything that has aluminum or metal. Specially the shavers she loves. I have to be specially careful that she doesnt grab them because she just chews them and swallows them. and is for the sharp side, for the plastic she is not so interested. Also the little metal of my pony tail elastics she loves. Is there something in the metal she needs?
