Hives after roller derby practice?

I play roller derby twice a week. Every practice, when I gear down, I have hives where my knee and elbow pads are. Not my wrist guards or helmet or skates. I have moderate eczema, but it is under control. I sleep with a humidifier, and I drink lots of water. I also use lotion 2x a day. What could be causing this, and what can I do? I'm sick of itching like crazy after practice!

What is the best shaving cream and shaver for women?

Well I don't know about the best but I use a Venus embrace without the extra moisture bar around it and the Skintimate shaving cream. I have no problems with razor burn as long as I don't push too hard or go too fast. I've been using them for years. This is only what works for me though. I hope you find something that works for you. P.S. They both also have things for sensitive skin and extra moisturizing if you need something like that. Hope this helps.

Bump on nose ring and industrial piercing?

i got my nose pierced in september and my industrial done in march. my nose has had a few problems here and there with the little bumps (are they called keloids?) when i've gotten it bumped in sports or had to change it to a retainer. i no longer change it frequently or by myself nor does it get knocked much. the only times it gets touched is when i clean it. or when i itch my nose. i've heard many methods to get rid of this but none are working! the bump isn't too large. but noticeable and ugly.. i have used tea tree oil in the past but it didn't do much. so i switched to emu oil. but i've heard more success with tea tree so i'm back to that. i wash it with antibacterial soap in the shower. and my piercer has also suggested peroxide. i know some say thats really bad but they say its a rare case where you can use it. i just made the mistake of putting it on my industrial bump. it started to bleed. this is a more open bump, not just the buildup of tissue. so i am sticking to the oil with that. i do salt soaks occasionally but they are just so inconvenient its hard for me to sit down and stick my nose in water for too long before i feel like i'm drowning. i've also tried compresses. they don't seem to do much. i haven't tried the tea bag ones though. i'm so fed up with them and any help would be appreciated!

Ive been skinny like my WHOLE LIFE. Im very active. Monday, tuesday are soccer pratice. Saturday is tournment or game. Im very active and have alot of endurance but i recently broke my wrist playing soccer so i put on some fat. Ive been putting more on and on and i have a bad diet since i am moving to a different house in a different country so i can only eat fast food nothing that takes hours to prepare like we normally have. I usually never eat breakfast and have a moderate dinner and lunch. I snack alot on bad foods but usually i burn my calories and stay at a healthy weight. Im about 102-104 lbs and im 4 foot 11 inches. Im 14 years old and i think im getting ready for a growth suprt. Im now putting on fat so im densing up. Im not like out of breath or anything but i dont have a six-pack or pecs. Im very weak at my upperbody. I can lift about 400 pounds with my legs. No im not trolling. I just want to know if the exccess fat on my body can contribute to me growing and me thinning out because thats exactly what happeend with my friend. He was chubby his whole life and now he went through his growth spurts and his voice is deep and he has a visible six pack and pecs and things. Im jsut very self-concious about my body which i think is kind of wierd. just to note again, IM NOT OUT OF SHAPE OR FAT. I'm looking into exotic protein sources to get some more variety into my dog's diet. I feed a mix of raw and cooked, and feed chicken, turkey, beef, bison, salmon, pork and kangaroo already. I exclusively feed meats that are either USDA organic and 100% grass fed/free range or wild. I'm looking into things like emu and crocodile, as well as some fresh venison when deer seacon starts. I know to watch out for bovine spongiform encephally in beef and chronic wasting disease in deer-are there any other considerations? I feed mostly domestic red meat raw and wild meat or poultry cooked since she didn't do well on raw poultry and I don't want to transmit parasites from wild meat. Thanks!

Why am I pooping so much?

It's been the same thing for over a week now and I'm getting a little annoyed. I have the frequent urge to poop all the time. I get the urge many times throughout the day. Almost every time, the urge is a "monkey gut" feeling where I feel as though I have to go use the bathroom immediately or I will crap my pants. Although, a lot of the time when I get those urges, I ignore them and they go away, and they come back later. Some of the time though, I do go use the bathroom because the urge to poop is more intense. This has been going for over a week, and it's not going away. At first, it started off as more of a diarrhea-type thing, and I figured that it'd eventually wear off, but obviously it hasn't. My poop isn't "hard", but it's no longer diarrhea either; it's in the middle. I haven't really pooped a lot when I do go, just small or moderate amounts. I don't understand what's going on; I'm not sick or anything. I've taken Pepto-Bismol a couple times, but it isn't working. Anything I can do to get rid of this? Please and thanks!

As long as you continue to perform cardio 3-5 days per week, you should not gain your weight back. Especially considering your only upping the calorie intake by 200-400, I do not see where there should be a problem. Just make sure are consistent with diet and exercise. I am 8 months pregnant (with my first child), due in July. I have not gained weight anywhere except in my stomach, and it appears to be "all baby." My friend did the same thing about a year ago. Don't shave them both off, it just makes it more noticeable. It only takes like 3 weeks. Eyelashes take a lot longer though btw. If eyeliner is too dark then colour both brows. Try to get your hair to cover where it's gone, but that's about the best you can do. I wish you the best. Trouble with trimming my shih tzu's face?

Hello, we have a 10 week old shih tzu puppy. His face is in great need of trimming. I bought a $200 trimmer to shave him when he is older and a pair of scissors. I just wanted to trim his face with the scissors. I didnt even get out the shaver. He was TERRIBLE! He squirmed and screamed bloody murder. I know the neighbors thought I was killing him! My question is, is this normal behavior for this young of a puppy? Will he get better or should I just return the shaver and pay to have him groomed in the future? Im about 102-104 lbs and im 4 foot 11 inches. Im 14 years old and i think im getting ready for a growth suprt. Im now putting on fat so im densing up. Im not like out of breath or anything but i dont have a six-pack or pecs. Im very weak at my upperbody. I can lift about 400 pounds with my legs. No im not trolling. I just want to know if the exccess fat on my body can contribute to me growing and me thinning out because thats exactly what happeend with my friend. He was chubby his whole life and now he went through his growth spurts and his voice is deep and he has a visible six pack and pecs and things. i work for best buy in indiana, and this is a VERY good computer. however, you don't absolutely need this one. this is not going to work any better than an i3 will unless you're using it to its i5 capacity. if you're doing something that requires an i5 processor, it will work amazingly and extremely fast. however, if you're not, it's not going to work any faster than if you saved yourself the money and just got a computer with an i3 processor.

We have always had ducks and geese at our house. We dont have a pond but we have a swimming pool and other water areas. We have two ducks at the moment and they have just started laying eggs. they lay one a day from now until summer. You could also buy usb-midi cables to connect it with your PC for use with DAW programs like Ableton, or Cubase. You should try and brush him often as he will get a summer coat that is easier for him in the heat than his heavy winter coat. It depends, I have seen some adapters that change the voltage and some that are only adapters that don't change the voltage. If it is a transforming adapter it could be overloaded by the light and that's why it may not be working. It also could be the voltage since the US uses 110 and the UK uses 240 and the led bulbs often use low voltage themselves and have their own transformer and you could be over powering it but I think if that was the case it would have burned out as soon as you plugged it in.

If I quit turning my emu eggs before day 48 will the chick die?

I have eggs in an incubator for emus. I have read several different articles and even studied a handbook that I have. At about day 42 I noticed one or two of my eggs being very active. I have tried to keep turning them, but they always roll back to the same position so I marked them and left them. I have noticed in the last day or so that they are not nearly as active as they were. I have not heard any "cheeping" from them or any signs of "pipping" But just about 1/2 of what I read says to turn for 48 days, then quit. I am still a few days away and they haven't been turned in a day or so.. Does anyone out there know enough about incubating emus manually to know if I still have a good chance of these babies hatching? I have a great success rate out of my male emu setting eggs, and for the last 2 years the incubator has been at someone else's house and they only had 1 baby ever hatch and live. This year we are trying it at my house with different temp and humidity levels (the right ones) and with the activity levels in the eggs I know it's working. But now they aren't being so active and I don't know if I should really worry that they are dead/dying or if it's normal for them to be active for a bit, then "rest" before breaking out into the world. Please if you have RATITE experience I'd love to hear from you. Especially if you have incubated manually successfully.

Unrefined shea butter is very good (the real shea butter, the one that looks and smells like play dough). You can use it for practically anything your hair, diaper rashes on babies, burns, nd dry skin. I use it myself and what I do is first put some baby oil on after I get done showering and then I add a little bit of shea butter to seal in the moisture and it works fine for me. My skin is less ashy and dry and remains soft throughout the day. This is just something that I do, these are actually all good things to use, but it also depends on how your skin will take to them.

Depression, tried everything, someone help me please...?

alright, i guess this is my last attempt to try and get better...heres the story. i am 14, when i was little my parents would drink and fight all the time, when i was 9 my sister got sick and was left alone with me for a week, where she died,i went to foster care for a few months and got sent home and in october of 2010 at 14, my mom overdosed. so here i am, i have had depression for a very long time, since i was at least 8, and this is where im at. i have tried church and god, but nothing ever got better, i really tried hard. it was good but when i walke out the doors of the church i was back to the same place, i have lots of friends, but they have not helped. i have been in counseling and tried several depression medications, nothing works. i have had cutting problems since i was 9, i have suicidal thoughts all day every day. i have even had counseling for ptsd. nothing ever changes. should i go to the hospital? would it help? i cry all the time, im trying to heal and i want my life to be better, but it never changes. i wait and wait and wait. im done waiting. i dont want to be here. now on top of all this, i am 5'4 and weigh like 145-150 pounds, i think im fat. i think im ugly, i hate myself. i m a boring person with no talents or skills, i hate myself and my life. my personality sucks. everytthing sucks. someone please tell me what to do, and dont say "hang n there it will get better" ...because ive heard that a lot, guess what? it never gets better. no matter what i try, no one helps me, i have had mental health evaluations and have been labeled a moderate risk for suicide, but in my heart i know how much i want to die. someone, anyone, PLEASE tell me what to do. i cant take this anymore.

All the St. Ives, Clinique, Neutrogena, Body Shop, Aveeno, and Olay products are excellent, believe me. I happen to know because I have all the products you mentioned from these product lines. Neutrogena and St. Ives are really good for gradually clearing your skin and making it feel really fresh and clean. The Body Shop products are good sometimes, but sometimes they irritate my skin. How can i improve for cross country?

So pretty much, i am super pissed right now. I didn't do spring track, not saying why, but i didn't do it. But i still ran. I just focoused on building up a big base, which i did. Now real summer xc training started with the team. There are some kids who barley have ran before, a fe kids who havent ran in months, and there beating me. I know its not a race but i am giving it almost 100 % and there going like at a moderate pace. I am frustrated because i felt like the whole base i built was a waste of time. I dont think i am burning out because i took a few weeks off between. And it's not that i my pace isnt even that slow, i guess there jsut going really fast. When I shave my face with an shaver, it looks clean shaven, but after few minutes the upper lip becomes "black". As if I haven't shaved at all! Ive been skinny like my WHOLE LIFE. Im very active. Monday, tuesday are soccer pratice. Saturday is tournment or game. Im very active and have alot of endurance but i recently broke my wrist playing soccer so i put on some fat. Ive been putting more on and on and i have a bad diet since i am moving to a different house in a different country so i can only eat fast food nothing that takes hours to prepare like we normally have. I usually never eat breakfast and have a moderate dinner and lunch. I snack alot on bad foods but usually i burn my calories and stay at a healthy weight. Im not like out of breath or anything but i dont have a six-pack or pecs. Im very weak at my upperbody. I can lift about 400 pounds with my legs. No im not trolling. STD testing. Is it worth it or am I just a hypochondriac?

Alright, so I am a 21year old female and Ill admit I am a moderate to extreme hypochondriac. Or maybe its just OCD. I have had 4 sexual partners, 2 of which I know were clean and the other 2 I have no idea. Anyways back in October I had unprotected sex with this guy a few times and about a month or so later I developed a huge body rash and I was CONVINCED it was the acute HIV rash. So I waited a while until I could be tested and I was negative for both HIV as well as Hepatitis. The tests were kinda expensive because here in California, or at least my town, they no longer offer free STD testing. I kinda felt like it was a waste and everybody was telling me I didn't have HIV and they were right. Well then a few months ago I got another rash on my back and I decided it had to be sacral herpes. I went to a dermatologist who said it did not look like any kind of STD but she took a sample of the rash to be sent off for a biopsy and I made her write on the lab sheet to test it for herpes. It came back negative and she concluded it was just an allergic reaction. Well since then I have not had sex (last time was almost 4 months ago). The past few days I have noticed my vaginal skin is more red and dry, and just slightly itchy. I fear it may be a mild herpes outbreak. I have no blisters or sores so I am unsure if I should get a test done because I read that blood tests for herpes are not always accurate and since I don't have a sore to be tested idk what I should do. I don't want to waste more money that i don't even have if the test is just gonna come back negative like all the other tests did. Am I just freaking out about nothing?? I just got tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea like 2 weeks ago for my annual and i was clean and the doc said i looked healthy down there. What should I do??
