How Should I Trim My Pubic Hair? And How ?

I am now 15 now and i want to know how should i trim my pubic hair.? I aint really interested into shaving, i heard it is a bad idea. I'm not interested into having itchy balls, and have razor bumps, etc... I'm more interested into using scissors, but can anyone tell me how?will it look bad?i've never done this before, help! :P btw, can i use an electric shaver...?
