First time shaving my bikini line area! help?

okay, so i got this, schick quatro trim style shaver and what do i do with the trimmer? and when you shave down there, do you remove every piece of hair or do you "shape" it and what does 'shaping" it actually mean? and if i do shape it, do i trim the length each time it grows back? and keep shaving the edges? the only shape i know if the triangle one, and i dont even know how to do that ahah! im hopeless but please explain what shaving you bikini line means
